The Pace Report focuses on your property's performance using metrics like ADR, RevPAR and Occupancy. It is useful to understand:
- How your property is performing right now
- What changed compared to last year
- What to expect in the future, using previous year's data as a comparison.
The report compares key metrics like rooms sold, daily rates, and total revenue against a comparison year, giving you a clear picture of your property’s performance.
In short, the Pace Report is a performance snapshot that shows if you're ahead or behind your occupancy and revenue goals compared to the same point in time last year.
The Pace Report calculates performance data as of today and the same day in the same week of the comparison year. In other words, it compares days of the week, not dates. For example, if you're running the report on a Tuesday in August this year, it will compare it to the same Tuesday in August last year, even if the actual dates are different.

Pace Report settings
The Pace Report allows you to customize the way you compare your performance to the selected year.
We'll go over the main steps to set up the report:
Step 1: Choose a date range
Select a range of dates you want to compare to the comparison year.
Generally, it makes the most sense to compare future dates. That way, you're comparing your current performance to how well your property was doing last year.
- Use quick filters, like:
- Today:
- Next 7 Days
- Next 14 Days
- Next 30 Days
- Next 60 Days
- Next 90 Days
- Next 180 Days
- Alternatively, select Custom Date Range
- Select any dates that you're interested to compare today's performance with the comparison year.
Step 2: Pace Vs
Select the year to use as the comparison data.
The Pace Report calculates performance data as of today and the same day in the same week of the comparison year. In other words, it compares days of the week, not the exact date. For example, if you're looking at a Tuesday in August this year, it will compare it to the same Tuesday in August last year, even if the actual dates are slightly different. This helps you compare performance based on booking patterns that often follow weekdays.
You can select last year or 2 years ago as the most commonly used comparison years, or set a custom year to compare performance.
- Last year
- Compare this year to last year as a default.
- Compare this year to 2 years ago.
- __ Years ago
- Compare this year to N years ago, for example, this year to 3 years ago.
Step 3: Customize the detailed view
This option lets you organize the report data by period.
For example, you can group by Day to see a detailed day-by-day view, or select Month to see an overall Month's performance at a glance.
Group by Day:
See daily performance details.
Group by Week:
Get a weekly summary.
Group by Month:
View monthly performance at a glance.
Step 4: Choose Advanced settings
Advanced Inputs allow you to further refine the way you view the comparison data.
- Break out by
- Room class
- See how each of your room types is performing, rather than seeing the total of your property.
- Channel
- See how your performance based on booking source.
- Room class
- Include Performance Metrics
- Displays the report data by including the selected performance metrics, for each date within the selected date range.
By default, both performance metrics are enabled.- Average Daily Rate (ADR)
- Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR)
- Displays the report data by including the selected performance metrics, for each date within the selected date range.
Select the report settings that will help you understand your performance, then click Run at the bottom of the page.
Report outputs
The report will provide the following metrics for the selected date range, as of today and compared to the selected year:
- Rooms Sold
- Total available room nights that could have been sold in the selected date range
- Count of sold rooms
- Occupancy %
- A ratio of sold rooms compared to total available rooms, shown as a percentage.
- Revenue:
- Total Room Charge revenue in the selected date range.
- Average Daily Rate (ADR)
- Shows the average room price per night for the selected dates.
- Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR)
- How much revenue you're making per room, whether it’s booked or not.
In this example, the hotel is successfully attracting more guests and filling more rooms for July 3, 2025, but at a significantly lower price point, leading to a decrease in overall revenue and profitability (RevPAR) compared to the previous year.
