Booking.com: Prepaid Reservation Setup

Created by Alex Savchuk, Modified on Fri, Mar 15 at 6:53 PM by Alex Savchuk

A property can register with Booking.com to allow guests to pay for their stay on Booking.com directly.

Booking.com collects the payment from the guest and then pays the property either by a Virtual Credit Card (VCC) or Bank Transfer, depending on what the property has opted for.

This setting can be seen on the extranet in Property> Policies> Guest Payment Options.

Here is the setting for Bank Transfers:

Automatically associate prepaid reservations to a corporate account.

  1. In innCenter, a corporate account is created for your property with the Hotel ID from Booking.com as the Account number.
When a Booking.com prepaid reservation enters the innRoad system then the reservation is automatically associated to this corporate account.

  2. The Reservations tab in this corporate account has all the prepaid reservations from Booking.com.

    Note:
    - Only the prepaid reservations created after this feature is enabled display in the reservations tab.  - Prior interfaced reservations would not have the corporate account associated automatically.
    - We do not recommend manually associating Multi- Room Reservations to the corporate account.

  1. The reservation folio, displays all the Room Charges in the Booking.com account folio.
Any fees configured for the Booking.com source, display in the Guest folio and are to be collected from the guest at the property.

  2. If you are using Virtual Credit Card, then the card details display in the account folio Payment Info.
  1. If you are using Bank Transfers, then the account folio payment info would be blank:
    • If you would like to pay using the Booking.com Prepaid account then:
      • Click on pay in the Booking.com folio of the reservation
      • Select the corporate account as the payment method
      • Enter the amount that is prepaid and click on Pay
    • This adds a payment in the reservation and a corresponding charge is added to the booking.com corporate account to indicate that Booking.com will pay for it.
