How to enable Pre-Check-in Links on Booking.com
Booking.com has security guidelines that normally prevent external links in emails sent to guests. This helps prevent phishing attacks on guests using booking.com However, this security measure can also remove your contactless check-in link, or other links you might want to include in your email communication.
Booking.com has an allowed links setting, which allows you to specify which links can be shared with your guests via our messaging platform. For example, you might choose to add your property’s website address or a link to your innRoad online check-in tool. These links will appear in the Your approved links section.
Once enabled, any links you haven’t added will be removed from your messages. Your guests won’t be able to click them and instead will see [Link was removed].
Here’s how to specify which links can reach your guests:
If you have one property:
- Sign in to the Extranet.
- Click Property, then Messaging preferences
- Click Security settings.
- Complete two-factor authentication
- Click Add a link and enter either a specific URL (e.g. www.example.com/xyz.html) or an entire domain (e.g. example.com)
- For innRoad Pre-check-in links, add the domain inrd.io
- To add more links, click +
- Click Add domain.
If you have multiple properties
- Sign in to your group account on the Extranet.
- On the homepage, select one property.
- Click Property, then Messaging preferences
- Click Security settings.
- Complete two-factor authentication
- Click Add a link and enter either a specific URL (e.g. www.example.com/xyz.html) or an entire domain (e.g. example.com)
- For innRoad Pre-check-in, add the domain inrd.io
- To add more links, click +
- Click Add domain.
- To apply the same settings to all properties in your account, click Apply to all properties.
- Check the approved email addresses and click Apply to all properties in the pop-up.
- Changes will then be applied across all properties.
