Welcome to innRoad!

We’re excited to get you set up with Online Travel Agencies (OTAs) and would like to offer tips on registering with Booking.com for the first time. See below for some helpful hints.

1.    Get excited! The Booking.com application can take you 20 minutes or less to complete, so set aside a bit of time to get it finished in one sitting. You’ll be on your way in no time.

2.    Gather everything you need. Booking.com requires information such as the amenities you have available, room sizes (in square feet or square meters), and high-definition photos of your rooms and properties. It’s helpful to have this information easily accessible when completing the application.

3.    Understand their terminology. Booking.com refers to rooms as “Single Rooms” if they hold only one person and “Double Rooms” if they hold more than one person. Once you select “Double Room” as the option of your room class, you’ll be able to choose the bed type(s) and can add the number of people that the room can hold. “Family Rooms” and many other types are also options you can use.

4.    Be aware that they have standardized language for room classes. Booking.com is going to translate your listing into many languages so that people all over the world can book a stay with you – that’s why the room names need to be standardized. However, you’re able to add a nickname to each room class – feel free to do this, as it helps us out when we connect you!

5.    Match the room classes in Booking.com to what your Implementation Advisor has set up in innRoad. This is most important! When we connect your innRoad system to your Booking.com account, your rooms must match one-to-one. If you have questions about how your Implementation Advisor set up your system, you can ask him/her to send you a copy of your Set Up Template and you can use that while filling out the Booking.com application.

6.    Remember that you do have a Channel Manager. The application will ask you if you do, and the answer is yes – your channel manager is innRoad!

7.    Relax! If you forget something and need to finish your application later, you can use the “Continue your registration” option at join.booking.com to complete it at a later date.

8.    Know the process. Once you’ve finished the online registration, be aware that Booking.com will mail you a postcard or, on some occasions, come to visit your property. Keep an eye on your email and your mailbox for the next couple weeks and watch for communication from them with further instructions.

Please reach out to your Implementation Advisor if you have questions about this process – we’re here to help. We’re glad to have you on board!
