Let’s Build a Discounted Rate
In this example rate I want to show you how to build a Repeat Guest Rate.
In this example I would like it to have more lenient Deposit and Cancellation Policies since these guests have stayed with us before. I would like there to be a promo code I can send my repeat guests so they can book online, other than that it will not be publicly listed.
- Please go to the INVENTORY TAB and then RATES GRID
2. To the right click ADD RATE PLAN and select the DERIVED RATE PLAN option.
In this example we selected Derived because this 10% off rate will be derived from our Rack/Base Rate.
3. Fill in the Blanks for the Rate Plan Name (Internally visible to you), Folio Display Nam (what is printed on the Guests Folio/Receipt), and Rate Plan Description (this will appear on the Booking Engine)
4. Click NEXT
5. Select the RATE this one will be DERIVED from – Typically this will be your RACK RATE.
6. Enter the AMOUNT - PERCENT/DOLLAR and LESSER THAN/ GREATER THAN
7. In this example we DO NOT want to take the Parent Rules – we want this Rate to be available anytime. PARENT RULES would be any Minimum Length of Stay Restrictions.
8. Click NEXT
9. Select what Dates you want this Derived Rate available.
10. Click NEXT
11. Select the Sources/Channels you wish to have access to this Rate. Because this is a Derived Rate it is unable to go out to OTA accounts, which essentially leaves your options to innCenter which is you entering the reservation manually or your Booking Engine.
12. Click NEXT
13. Select the Room Classes you wish to include in this Special
14. Click NEXT
15. Add your PROMO CODE – you and your Guests will need to use this code to create a reservation using this Special. CAPS to not matter for Promo Codes.
16. Click NEXT
17. Select the Policies you which to attach to the Special. In this example we are offering NO Deposit Necessary and NO Cancellation Penalty, so we did not select either Deposit or Cancellation Policies.
18. Click NEXT
19. Last Step – REVIEW and SAVE AS ACTIVE – do not toggle the Default Rate Plan.

HOW TO USE THIS RATE
From the TAPE CHART – you will need to select the RATE and type the PROMO CODE.
From the RESERVATIONS Dashboard – you will select PROMO CODE and type in the promo code.
From the BOOKING ENGINE – your guests will enter their dates and PROMO CODE

Remember Step Three where we the entered:
