Products & Bundles - Rates V2

This article will cover adding Products and Bundles to sell. You can choose to have these items for sale on your Booking Engine or only be available in-house.

1. Create a Ledger Account for the specific item you wish to sell. (How to Create a Ledger Account)

If you wish to track items separately; for example if you want to track if the item was purchased in-house or online you can create two Ledger accounts one used in-house and one used online. The price you put here does not have to match the price you wish to sell it online for. For example if a guest buys a bottle of wine in person it may be one price, but if they buy it online you may add a delivery fee. When you create this Product you can alter the price there.

2. Go to the Inventory Tab and select Products & Bundles,

3. To sell an individual product click the green Add Product button.

4. Fill in the select information: The Product Name will be seen by your guests, Select the Ledger Account you created from the Category dropdown, Select the price you want to charge for this item, select how you want it charged PER (room, person, adult, child) PER (night, stay, interval), enter the description you want the guest to see and finally select if you want to sell on Booking Engine. The picture size should be 800px x 800 px

If you do not select 'Sell on Booking Engine' this will be able to be added to a guests folio by you in-house using the Add-ons & Incidentals box in the reservation itself. Or this Product can be used in a Bundle which we will cover next.

Once you select to sell it on the Booking Engine a new option will appear for you. You can select specific Room Classes to sell this item in. For example if you only have certain Pet Friendly rooms you can limit your Pet Fee to only be offered when someone books that particular room type.

Now you will also see that you can add custom dates. This is great if you have seasonal items like a Beach Pass or Bike Rental or if you offer a dining option mid-week but not on the weekend.

5. Click Add product on the bottom and your new Product has been created.

To Add a Bundle is a very similar process, but as the name suggests you would use this in the instance of selling a bundle of items. Maybe you have a Romance package (bundle) that includes dinner, bottle of wine, box of chocolates and flowers (products) and maybe you want to offer the bundle of items for a different cost than the individual items.

You would follow the similar steps as above but select the Bundle tab prior to starting. The items you wish to select for the Bundle MUST first be a Product.

1. Go to the Inventory Tab and select Products & Bundles, and select BUNDLE. Click the green Add Bundle on the right.

This will bring you the Bundle Overview where you can add a picture, give the Bundle a name and description and decide whether you are selling this in-house or also want to sell it on your Booking Engine.

2. As with the Products if you select to sell this Bundle on your Booking Engine you will get the same option to offer this Bundle to select Room Classes or all Room Classes.

3. Next you will select the Products & Pricing to add the items you wish to include in your Bundle and what you want your Bundle items to cost. The TOTAL of the items together will be the price that appears for your guest. Each item you add you will be able to add a price and select your Per's - PER (room, person, adult, child) PER (night, stay, interval). For a two night package the meal may be Per Person per Night (indicating the price will be for each person for dinner each night), the wine might be per room per stay (indicating one bottle of wine per stay) and the Pet fee could be per room per stay (indicating one pet fee for the 2 night stay)
