Creating a 20% discounted rate - Rates V2

Here are the steps to create a 20% discounted rate

• Go to Inventory > Rates Grid

• Click on Add Rate Plan > Derived rate plan

• Add the Rate Plan Name, Folio Display Name, and a description
• Click Next

• Select which rate plan you will be deriving the discount from (this is usually Rack Rate)
• Input the desired percentage or flat amount
• If you'd like the discount to have the same rules as the parent rate plan, tick the box 
• Click Next

• Select when the rate will be available to book
• Click Next

• Select which source(s) to push the the rate out to. Please note that promotional rates do not sync to OTAs. Please contact the OTA directly to set up a promotional rate

• Select which room classes the rate will be available for
• Click Next

• Select the conditions that need to be met in order for the rate to be available 
  • Length of Stay
  • Booking Window
  • Promo code
• Click Next

• Associate the policies
• Click Next

• Activate it!
