V1 - Setting up a per stay discount rate

This kind of offer will need to be created as a Package Rate since it needs to be applied per stay and not per night. More commonly, the discount will be per night. In that case, you'd create it as a new Derived Rate on a separate rate plan. See this article for the steps Creating a Discounted Rate

Here are the steps to create a per stay discounted rate:

Create the new rate plan. Go to the Setup Module > List Management > Rate Plans > Add the new one

Go to the Inventory module > Seasons > create the season for the rate

Go to the Inventory module > Rates > Create a new reference only rate for each room class you'd like to offer this discount for

• Be sure to add any conditions. In this case, the guest must enter a promo code to have access to the discount rate
• Reference-only rates do not push to OTAs

Now go to the Packages tab 

Create a new rate, apply it to the rate you had just created

Associate the new rate plan to any applicable policies

Create a reservation
