How to use the Unassigned Room Feature

Created by Alex Savchuk, Modified on Fri, Mar 15 at 7:08 PM by Alex Savchuk

The Unassigned section of your tape chart is an extension of the Drag and Drop feature. You will use this feature when shuffling more than one reservation at a time between different rooms.

For example, if you have Reservation A in Room 1 and Reservation B in Room 2, you can use the Unassigned feature to easily move Reservation A to room 2 and Reservation B to Room 1.

For additional information, you may want to watch the training video as well:

To use the Unassigned feature:

1. Go to Reservations > Tape Chart > Click the button on the upper right that reads “Unassigned”

2. This will open a box that will remain on the screen as you scroll up and down on the tape chart

3. Click and drag the first reservation you want to move into Unassigned section

4. This will make that reservation unassigned, and you are now able to move another reservation in its place.  Please note: you are able to "unassign" multiple reservations at once.

5. Now, go back to the Unassigned section and drag and drop the reservation you started with into the desired room.

Please note - when using the Unassigned feature, dragging a dropping into different room types and dates will prompt the system to ask you to confirm the changes.
