Only users that have the entitlement for “Task management settings” can view the Task Management tab in the setup module.

General Settings

  • Inspection needed for all Full cleaning tasks
    • If set to “ON,” when a “Full Cleaning”task is completed, it is set to the “Inspection” status and must be inspected prior to being marked as “Done”.
    • If this setting is set to “OFF”, when a “Full Cleaning”task is completed it is marked as “Done”
    • Note: “Stay-Over Cleaning”tasks do not include the inspection status and are marked as “Done” when the task is complete.
  • Set rooms to dirty on Check-in/Check-out
    • This is an optional setting, which when turned “ON”, automatically makes the room dirty once the guest either checks-in / checks-out of the room.

Automatically create tasks for reservations at Check-in

innRoad can automatically create tasks for your reservations upon check-in, to ensure that recurring tasks such as room cleanings are scheduled. To configure automatic task creation, configure the optional Auto Create and Frequency settings for the desired task types as seen above and described below.
  • Auto Create: Set this to “ON”if you would like to auto create the task type upon check-in.
  • Frequency: This setting allows you to decide how often the task type should occur for the reservation, starting on the day after check-in.

For example, if you want to conduct a “Stay-Over Cleaning” (i.e. room refresh) for each day of a guest’s stay and a “Sheet Change” every other day of their stay, you would set the frequency of those tasks to “Every Day” and “Every 2nd Day” respectively. When a guest checks in for a 5-night reservation, the tasks would be created as follows. Please note that the frequency setting does not schedule tasks for the check-out day

Schedule on check-out: Check this column if the task should be scheduled on the day of check out.For example, if you want to schedule a “Full Cleaning” on the day the guest checks out, set this column to “Checked”for the “Full Cleaning” task type. If we combine this with the previous example above, the cleaning schedule for the same 5-night reservation would be created as follows.
