Phishing is a common method for online attacks. In a nutshell, the attacker pretends to be someone you would trust to gain your trust. These fraudulent emails and phone calls are designed to trick recipients into sharing sensitive information or clicking on malicious links.

This kind of attack is widespread and affects clients in many industries. In most cases, the attacker is casting a wide net to try breach your digital security, with a focus on social engineering.

innRoad’s systems remain secure — your information has not been compromised.
These phishing attempts are widespread and not specific to innRoad or our clients.

Phishing attacks are designed to deceive you by mimicking details that appear convincing, so it’s important to stay alert.

Here are some best practices we recommend when dealing with a suspicious email or phone call:

  • innRoad will never ask for your password or other secure credentials by email or phone.
  • Verify the sender’s email address before clicking links or opening attachments.
  • Always check the link address to make sure it is the website it claims to be.
    •  Try to spot inconsistencies in the domain, for example, "innroad.co" instead of "innroad.com"
  • Be cautious of phone calls requesting sensitive information or login details.
  • Forward suspicious emails to support@innroad.com so our team can review them.

Phishing is on the rise everywhere, and awareness is the best defense. Thank you for your continued vigilance and for being a valued part of the innRoad community.
