How to Add and Void Folio items (Add or remove charges for a reservation)

Sometimes, you may need to update reservations by adding or removing charges, such as:

  • Adding extra services to the reservation.
  • Removing an incidental item from the charges.
  • Upselling early check-in or late check-out.

With innRoad, this process is simple and straightforward.


This guide explains how to add or void charges in a reservation's folio.



If you need to change the room charges of a reservation, we recommend using the Change Stay Details option. The system can quickly recalculate the reservation charges, based on the options you select.

How to Add Line Items:

  • Open the Reservation
  • Click the Folio tab
  • ClickAdd and select Charge:
  • Select the effective date(you may select past or future dates)
    • The effective date will default to today.
  • Select the Category of this charge.
    • The categories are based on Ledger Accounts created for your property.
  • Description will be filled in based on the defult description for your Category, but you may edit it as well:
  • Enter the quantity
  • Enter the Amount
  • Click Save.
  • Line item is added.


How to Void Line items

How to void a single item:

  • Click the ❌ next to the line item:
  • You will see a pop-up to enter the Void reason:
  • Click Void

How to void multiple items at once:

  • Select the checkboxes next to the folio items you want to void:
  • Select Bulk Action
  • Click Void
  • Provide a reason to void those items.
  • Click Proceed.
  • Line items will be voided
