How to Create a Promo Code

Steps to follow:

Click into the Inventory Module
Click Rates
Click New Rate
The rate name can be the Promo Code name. For example, 'Last Minute'
Select the Rate Plan. Rack Rate is the default. Use the dropdown to select another rate plan (add a new rate plan in the Setup Module > List Management > Rate Plan > New Item).
The default rate type is Rooms Only. Leave as this default.

Required fields when creating a new rate:

Interval- leave as 1
Max Adults
Max Persons
Base Amount
Display Name
You must also select Condition Rate- Yes to enter in desired Promo Code

Scroll down and continue associating each of the three requirements:

Seasons
Room classes
Sources

Click Associate Seasons to add the season(s) that the rate should be available.

The season picker then appears in a pop-up box.
- To move all seasons over from available seasons to “added seasons”, click on the top box [>>].
- To move selective seasons to “added season”, click on the season then the [>] button.
- Click “save” when done associating the season(s).

Click “Associate Room Classes” to add applicable room(s) that the rate should be available.

The Room Class Picker will appears in a pop-up box.
- To move all available room classes over from available seasons to “Added Room Classes”, click on the top box [>>].
- To move selective rooms to “Added Room Classes”, click on the room then the [>] button.
- Click “save” when done associating the room class(es).

Click “Associate Sources” to add applicable source(s) that the rate should be available.

The Source Picker will appears in a pop-up box.
- Check all source boxes that your rate should be available.
- Click “Select” when done associating the source(s).

The last step is to click “SAVE” or “Done” to complete the promo code creation. Save will accept the changes and keep you on the current page. Done will accept the changes and take you to the previous page.
