The Product Sales Report provides a detailed view of revenue generated by individual products and services within a selected date range. 


The Product Sales report can only be run for a single property at a time.


The Product Sales Report does not include Package Rate Plan sales. The focus of the report is on individual incidental sales.


What I can use the Product Sales report for

Use the Product Sales report to:

  • Track sales performance 
  • Identify top-sellers
  • Analyze customer purchasing behavior


How to Configure the Report


Step 1: Select a Transaction Date Range

Choose a start date and end date to define the range of incidental product sales included in the report.

Step 2: Select Inputs

Choose additional filters to help narrow or broaden the report output:

  • Exclude Products with Zero Sales
    • Enabled → Only products with revenue in the selected range are included.
    • Disabled → All products appear, even if sales are zero.
  • Include Bundles
    • Enabled: Product Bundles are included in the resutls.
    • Disabled: Product Bundles are excluded from the resutls.

Step 2: Customize Detailed View

The Detailed view will include a list of all incidental sales in the selected transaction date range, based on selected inputs.

You can sort the report by:

  • Transaction Date
  • Product Name

 After configuring the report, click Run Report in the top-right corner to see the results.


What the report output looks like

Summary Section

The summary section displays a row for each product or bundle with the total quantity sold and revenue earned during the selected time frame.


 

The Detailed View displays a row for each product purchase and the associated reservation.

 

Here is a breakdown of the included columns in the Detailed view:


Transaction Date

The Product's purchase date, in other words, the date the item was added to the Folio.

Category

The Product's Ledger account.  “Multiple” is displayed for bundles.

Product

Product Name.

Quantity

Quantity purchased.

Amount

Total revenue for the purchase.

Reservation #

The reservation number for which the product was purchased.

Room #

Room # of the reservation.

Ad/Ch

Number of adults and children in the room.

Guest Name

Name of the guest in the room.
