Step 1: Prepare EMV Terminal
A terminal typically requires a software update when it is first turned on and connected to the internet.
Follow the steps below to power on and connect the device.
- Plug the terminal into a power outlet to fully charge it.
- After the reader is fully charged, hold down the power button on the right-hand side until the screen turns on.

- On the terminal, tap Connect to Wi-Fito connect the terminal to the internet.

Step 1.1: Network Setup
If you've purchased a dock and would like to use ethernet, plug the ethernet cord into the dock accessory and dock the terminal. In that case, you can skip the Wi-Fi connection steps.
- Select the desired Wi-Fi network.
- The terminal must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network being used to access innRoad.
- The Wi-Fi network must use WPA-Personal or WPA2-Personal encryption and be password protected.

- Enter the Wi-Fi password.

- Once connected, the device will display a green gear icon.

- If an update is required, the terminal will automatically download the update and then restart.

- Once the terminal restarts, choose the language for the device.

- Choose the country where the device will be located.

- Turn off the device and wait for your scheduled meeting with the innRoad Support Advisor to finish the configuration.
Step 2: Join your terminal configuration and training session
During your scheduled session with an innRoad Support Advisor, you will generate a pairing code and finish configuring the terminal.
- Turn on the terminal. Swipe right from the left edge of the reader screen to reveal the settings button.

- Tap the settings button and enter the admin PIN to access the settings.
