Connecting your innRoad Payments terminal is completed in 3 simple steps
STEP 1: Prepare EMV Terminal for you
A terminal typically requires a software update when it is first turned on and connected to the internet.
1. Plug terminal into power outlet.
2. After the reader is fully charged, hold down the power button on the right-hand side until the screen turns on.
3. Click connect to Wi-Fi to connect the terminal to the internet.
Note: If you’ve purchased a dock and would like to use ethernet, plug ethernet cord into the dock accessory and dock the terminal. Jump to step 7.
4. Select the desired Wi-Fi Network
a. Terminal must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network being used to access innRoad.
b. Wi-Fi network must use WPA-Personal or WPA2-Personal encryption and be password protected.
5. Enter password.
6. Device will display green gear icon once connected.
7. If an update is required, the terminal will download the update and then restart.
8. Once Terminal restarted, choose the language for the device.
9. Choose the country where the device will be located.
10. Turn OFF the device and wait for the meeting with innRoad support advisor to finish the configuration.
STEP 2: Join your terminal configuration and training session at the scheduled time
1. Turn ON the terminal, swipe right from the left edge of the reader screen to reveal the settings button.
2. Tap the settings button and enter admin PIN 07139 to access the settings.
3. With settings open, press “Generate Pairing Code”.
4. Provide the exact code shown on the terminal screen to the innRoad Support advisor.
5. Provide the name for this device. This name will be displayed on innCenter at a time of taking a payment.
6. The device will run additional updates.
7. innRoad background will be shown on the device.
STEP 3: Testing EMV Terminal
1. Open innRoad in a new browser.
2. Search for a reservation on “In-House” status.
3. Go to Folio tab.
4. Click on “Pay” button.
5. Add an amount to pay and select EMV Terminal name (the name you provided here) on the Payment Method field.
6. Click on “Process” button.
7. A Pop-Up will appear prompting you to tell the guest they can now use their card.
8. Close out the transaction once the terminal screen asks you to insert card.
