Changing Gift Certificate Amounts

Here is how to change the amount of a Gift Certificate after it has been created:
 

• Open the Gift Certificate Account in which the Gift Certificate was created
• Go to the Account Folio
• Click on the Description for the Gift Certificate you want to update

This will open the Item Details for that line item

• Category: Select Gift Certificate
• Description: A character will need to be entered here, we usually recommend 'Edit' or 'Update'
• Amount: In this field you need to enter the amount it would require to change the current number to the number you are looking for
  • i.e. if the GC is for $500, but it needs to be for $400, you would enter -100
  • If you need the GC to be $600 instead, you would enter 100
