Transferring balance on a reservation to a House Account / Using House Account as Method Payment
You can transfer positive AND negative balances from reservations to accounts
Positive - For unpaid balances that need payment
Negative - For credits/refunds that can be used for the guest in the future
1. Click on folio of the reservation with balance
2. Click on Pay
3. On Payment Details window, Select Payment Method: House Account
4. A field below the payment method box will appear where you can search for the appropriate House Account and click on it. Please note that you can search by name or account number.
5. Once selected, the Account Name field will be filled and you can proceed with confirming the green pay icon if the date, value and type are correct.
6. The payment confirmation window will appear and let you know if the payment was added successfully. Close this window to proceed.
7. When you are brought back to the folio, ensure to save the at the bottom of the reservation.
Reconciling Transfers on the House Account
Search for House Accounts under Accounts > House Accounts drop down > search < click on account name
On the folio, the transfer line will show as being from the reservation it came from
The pay icon can be selected here to apply payment for that balance
