Setting up your Vrbo policies so cancellations are handled automatically

Choose a HomeAway/VRBO cancellation policy on the Room Class page: 

• These cancellation policies are for display only. The chosen cancellation policy will be displayed on the HomeAway reservation, but without additional work, the cancellation policy will need to be applied manually by the property. 

• Manual Cancellation Method | If a reservation is cancelled, select one of two methods to support the cancellation policy: 
  • Apply the cancellation policy to the reservation (i.e., refund the reservation manually). 
  • Or manually associate a cancellation policy to the reservation folio for each reservation. 

• Automatic Cancellation Policy Method | Instead of the manual method, we have designed the HomeAway integration to automatically apply any cancellation policy associated to the HomeAway Source and appropriate Room Class. 
  • Determine which cancellation policy of the 5 possible HomeAway policies you would like to use. 
  • Build the appropriate cancellation policies that match the HomeAway cancellation policy choice, and you can associate those policies with Source: HomeAway and the appropriate room classes. 
  • Make sure that no additional cancellation policies are associated with HomeAway. The innRoad HomeAway integration will automatically associate to a new reservation any cancellation policy that has the HomeAway source and the appropriate room class.

No Refund 

Build: 

• No cancellation policies need to be built. Nothing will be refunded. 

Strict 

Bookings cancelled at least 60 days before the start of stay will receive 100% refund 

Build:  

Firm 

• Bookings cancelled at least 60 days before the start of stay will receive 100% refund
• Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of stay will receive a 50% refund

• Bookings cancelled at least 30 days before the start of stay will receive 100% refund
• Bookings cancelled at least 14 days before the start of stay will receive a 50% refund
