VRBO Payment Schedule

The VRBO Payment Schedule setting, is a VRBO listing/room class level setting that allows properties to specify the amount of payment due At booking, At check-in and At check-out.

Navigation: Setup>Room Classes> Room Class> VRBO Tab> Payment Schedule section

The payment schedule is set as a percentage of the reservation total for the below 3 stages:

At Booking
  • This amount is charged automatically when the guest completes their booking on VRBO.
  • By default, "At Booking" is set to 100%. This can be changed as needed.

At Check-in

  • This is the amount owed by the guest at check-in.
  • The amount is charged at the property as a manual step.
  • If required, a check-in policy can be set up in innCenter to remind the front desk staff to collect the required amount. For example: If you want to collect 50% at booking and the rest at check-in, then set the check-in policy in innCenter for the VRBO rate plan to 100% of balance at check-in.
At Check- out
  • This is the amount the guest owes at check-out.
  • This amount is collected by the property in innCenter by charging the guest's card and this is not automatically processed. 

 

Important note: VRBO needs the payment schedule to always equal 100% of the reservation total. InnCenter displays a warning when the payment schedule does not equal 100%
