Kiosk modeThe Guest Portal streamlines the check-in and check-out process, allowing guests to complete required steps online. This helps you handle guest needs faster and avoid front-desk queues. Guests get a better experience since they spend less time waiting and filling out paperwork. 





The Guest Portal is an additional feature that you can add to your innRoad subscription. Reach out to our customer success team for pricing information.


Guests can complete self check-in or check-out using Kiosk mode on a tablet device at your front-desk. The process is similar to Online Check-in.


The Guest Portal collects essential details, payments, and signatures while offering upsell opportunities to your guests.


Combine the Guest Portal with the RemoteLock Integration to change PIN code activation time automatically when guests purchase Early Check-in or Late Check-out!


How the Guest Portal works

If the Guest Portal is enabled, guests can complete Online Check-in or Check-out via emailed Document Templates, SMS sent via Guest Messaging, or by entering their reservation number in Kiosk mode.


Depending on your Checkin Policy, you can also choose to charge or authorize a portion of the remaining reservation balance. 


When guests complete Online Check-in, you receive an email notification about the reservation. The reservation will also show a Pre Check-In label on your Reservation Dashboard:



Signed documents and uploaded IDs are automatically added to the reservation:

Guests can also complete the Online Check-out using the Pre Check-out link. Reservations that complete this process will get a Pre Check-Out label. 



Customization Options

The look and feel of the Guest Portal is based on your innRoad Booking Engine. This section will provide an overview of customization options that you can apply to your Guest Portal. 


Check-in Settings

  • Set default check-in time:

    • The Guest Portal uses Check-in time set up in your Property page.

  • Early Check-In

    • Define pricing.

    • Set time slots available for Early Check-in.

  • Payment Options

    • Set up a Check-in policy to authorize or capture a specific amount during Online Check-in.

    • Allow guests to pay for the reservation later using the Pay with Cash option.

  • ID Collection & Custom Fields

    • Choose if ID is required.

    • Choose additional documents guests need to sign.

    • Add custom fields to the Guest Portal using Field Configuration.

  • Product Upsell:

    • Configure add-ons available for purchase.

  • Front Desk Notifications:

    • Enable email alerts for completed check-ins.

  • Customize messages displayed to guests:

    • Customize the message depending on room status (Clean or Ditry)

  • Limit Reservation types that can use Check-in and Checkouts
    • Allow Group bookings to use Guest Portal
    • Allow reservations assigned to Corporate Accounts to use Guest Portal
    • Allow Multi-room reservations to use Guest Portal
      • Choose which information is required to collect for multi-room bookings

Check-out Settings

  • Set up Contactless Check-out
    • Set the default check-out time
    • Show custom text when guests complete Contactless Check-out
  • Customize Late Check-out.
    • Enable or Disable Late Check-out
    • Set Late Check-out Price
    • Set Late Check-out Limits
