Your innRoad Booking Engine is a unique URL that allows your guests to book directly with your property, based on rates and availability you set up in your innRoad system.
You can also connect your Eooking Engine to the following platforms:
- TripAdvisor
- Google Hotels (Google Free Booking Links and Google Ads)
- Track your booking engine traffic using Google Analytics 4

How to start configuring your innRoad Booking Engine
Only users with the permission to configure booking engines will see booking engine configuration options.
You will only see booking engines for properties that you have access to. If you don’t see the Booking Engines section in your Setup menu, ask your account admin to check if your user profile has the permission to configure booking engines.
- Log in to innRoad.
- Click Setup in the top navigation bar.
- Open Booking Engines.
- Click Configure to edit:

Customize your booking engine appearance and colors.
- Currency Convertor: allows prospective guests to understand room prices in their local currency. Please note that any payment collected from the booking engine will be collected in your property’s default currency
- Language Selector: The guest can choose a preferred language from a list of languages.
Please note that any user defined text such as room class description, policies, etc. will display in the language in which they were entered in innRoad - Preview Booking Engine: Click “Preview booking engine” to view your changes and Publish them or return to edit.
- Logo seciton:
- Logo: upload your properties' logo. This logo is shown in the Booking Engine header.
- Logo Hyperlink: when a guest clicks the property logo in the header, decide where they will be redirected to. Typically, properties use the link to their properties' website.
When you are finished making changes, click the save button in that section. - Favicon: upload an icon that will appear on the browser tab of your booking engine page
- Tab Title: the title that will appear on the browser tab of your booking engine page. When you are finished making changes, click the save button in that section
- Cover Image section:
- Cover image: Upload the background image of your booking engine as the background on the main booking engine page
- Background color overlay: Select a color to be applied on top of your background image.
- Background color opacity: Set how transparent or opaque the background color should be.
- If you don't want a background color at all, set the opacity to 0%.
- For slight tints, use a value between 5-20%
- Contact Info: this information will appear on the header of your booking engine.
When you are finished making changes, click the save button in that section - Edit the colors on your booking engine by entering the hex code of the color you would like to use. Click here for more information about what a color hex code is.
Options tab
update the default settings for your booking engine
- Default language: this will set the default language that the guest will see when visiting your booking engine
- Calendars: here you can set the display options for your calendars. Select the rate that will be displayed on the calendar, display rules on your calendars, enable or disable your full availability grid, and hide rates from displaying on the initial Search calendar. When you are finished making changes, click the save button in that section
- Age Range: define the age range of the children and adults welcome to stay at your property. When you are finished making changes, click the save button in that section
- Additional Detail Section: use this field to require your guests to respond to a specific question before completing their reservation. This is most commonly used for collecting estimated arrival times. When you are finished making changes, click the save button in that section
- Group Bookings: allow your guests to book a room that is part of a group block you have created internally with the group account number
- Multi-room Bookings: enable this feature so your guests can book more than one room in a reservation. Specify the maximum number of rooms that can be booked in a single reservation. The maximum value allowed is 10. When you are finished making changes, click the save button in that section
- Search Result Alignment: choose to display your room classes as tiles or rows
- Google Analytics: add your Google Analytics Tracking ID here so you can track the traffic on your booking engine. If you would like to track multiple domains, use cross-domain tracking. See more about Google Analytics in the attached document called "Google Analytics Setup Guide." When you are finished making changes, click the save button in that section.
- Same Day Bookings: turning this off will disable same day reservations. You also have the option to allow same-day bookings only until a certain time of day
- Price Comparison: display your room prices across channels to encourage your guests to book direct
- Search: configure your search options by choosing if you want to display the children and promo code fields when searching for availability. When you are finished making changes, click the save button in that section
- Guest Profiles: if a guest using the books using a first name, last name, email address, combination that matches exactly a profile already in innRoad, this profile is added to their reservation rather than creating a new guest profile for them, avoiding duplicate profiles for a repeat guest
- Add a message on initial search page: use this field to inform your guests of important information they should know before beginning their search such as renovation dates or promo codes. It can also be used as a welcome or thank you message. When you are finished making changes, click the save button in that section
- Custom “No Availability” Message: customize the text that is displayed when a search yields no availability. When you are finished making changes, click the save button in that section
- Cookie Consent Banner: The booking engine uses cookies to improve the browsing experience. The new cookie consent banner informs the potential guest that cookies will be used. Note: It is advised to turn on the cookie consent banner, if you have guests from the European Union that use the booking engine.
How to Embed your booking engine
Open the booking engine configuration page, then select options. Further down on the page you have options to embed this booking engine as an iFrame or install a widget on your website pages.
- Embed: to embed the booking engine onto your site you will need to add a section of code to the header and then embed the booking engine. Clicking “Embed” will give you the code to copy
- Website Widget:
- Vertical or horizontal widgets of a form. When guests fill out a form, they start a search on your booking engine directly.
- Change the colors and opacity by using hex codes, adjust the size of the widget, and change the text on the search button. When you’re finished making changes you can click “save” to save the widget or “discard changes” to revert back. See more about widgets here: Booking Engine Widgets.
- Preview Booking Engine: once you have made all your booking engine changes you can click “preview booking engine” to view these changes. We recommend a walkthrough of the entire booking process to see your booking engine as a guest would. If you are happy with the changes, click “publish changes”. Otherwise you can click “back to edit” to continue editing your booking engine.
