Split reservations refer to bookings when the guest stays in different rooms for the duration of the reservation. For example, John Smith is in room 101 from Jan 1st to Jan 3rd, then switches to room 103 from Jan 4th to Jan 7th.
You may need to split a a Reservation for a variety of reasons. These include:
- The guest requests a room change.
- The property offers the guest an upgrade.
- A room change is necessary due to damage or maintenance issues.
How to Split a Reservation:
- Open a Reservation
- Click the pencil icon next to Stay Info
- Select Change Stay Details
- Enable the Split Room Reservation checkbox, if it isn't active:
- Click Add room
- Adjust the check in and check out dates for both the rooms
- Make sure the check in / out dates align with the original dates.
- Click Find Room
- The first room of the Split Reservation will be pre-defined, according to the original reservation:
- The second room of the Split Reservation needs to be selected manually.
- Select an available room
- Click Save
- Reservation is split with the same confirmation number.
